This is #10 of the Trekki guitar line – Reloved Guitars headless travel-style guitars. It features a body made from an Indonesian hardwood top and an Ekki base and with a custom-carved neck made from salvaged mahogany (a window ledge!) and carved to copy the profile of a favourite parts caster Strat.
The guitar features the tried-and-tested Chinese headless bridge unit with the budget price and awesome tuning stability. Tuning is made easier via a custom-made magnetic tuning knob that once used, is then safely docked in a hole in the side of the guitar.
The neck features EVO gold frets and an ebony fingerboard topped off with a HipShot headpiece (slightly modified with extra fixing screws to prevent a tendency of the unit to rotate forwards).
Pickups are a combination of two Seymour Duncan ‘Phat Cat’ P90s with a ‘Lipstick’ single coil in between.
The neck joint is held with 2 x M8 stainless steel bolts going into threaded inserts and supported by anodised aluminium washers.
Fully set up in the Reloved Guitars fashion with precision fret levelling for a low, light buzz- and choke-free playing action, this little guitar benefits from a secure Di Marzio Clip-lock strap, meaning it can be slung behind you without any fear of dropping or hitting anything. Very handy for those crowded – and busy – gig environments.
